Happy New Year, friends!!! I know that not much has changed between now in 2021 vs. a few days ago in 2020… but it still feels really good knowing that we’re in a new year. 2020 taught me a lot and through a lot of reflection and goal setting, I feel really ready to take better care of my mental and physical wellbeing this year. Even amidst the uncertainty of this pandemic! Don’t get me wrong, I’m still very cautiously optimistic about making any sort of plans (especially wedding plans), but I can’t help but feel that glimmer of hope that comes with a fresh start.
Because I love this job so much, it can be hard for me to take breaks – but I’ve really benefited from slowing down the past few days. I’ve spent some time reflecting, dissecting last year’s analytics, setting goals, and just chilling out. Plus, once I started Bridgerton, I OBVIOUSLY had to finish it, right?! Because of that, there won’t be a Sunday email blast or my supper club tonight… but I promise to be back next week with some fun improvements!
Sunday Spotlights 28
I bought too many leeks when I went shopping for my Potato Leek Soup (coming soon!) so I made a crustless quiche with them yesterday on a whim. It turned out so delicious!!
This is the pie pan I have (and love)!
I completed Om & The City’s free Life Audit worksheets this week, and I found them to be SO helpful. It really forces you to look at specific areas of your life and ask yourself what is working at what isn’t. None of my answers resulted in huge lofty goals – but instead small changes I can make to help me feel happier and more fulfilled.
The Peloton app is free for 2 months right now!
The United States has surpassed 20 million documented COVID-19 cases, less than 2 months after we hit 10 million cases. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, but this pandemic is definitely not over. Please, stay diligent and respectful of others.
Who else has binge watched Bridgerton?!
I seriously could not stop watching. I’m always a sucker for period pieces and I was immediately taken by how vibrant all of the sets and costumes were. I also thought everyone was saying it’s sexy because all of the actors are so beautiful (THE DUKE), but then I got to the 6th episode and really understood ? If you haven’t watched yet, get ready for a lot of very steamy scenes.
Also, the soundtrack is all pop songs played by strings! Listen here.
My mom got me these pajamas for Christmas and they are amazing. SO COZY.
I don’t remember this happening, but I love everything Reese Witherspoon says about women making money in this article.
Have you looked through the Nordstrom Half Yearly sale yet? It’s on my list for today!
Harry Styles’ new music video sparks SO MUCH JOY!
