Sunday Spotlights 55
Hello friends!!!
We have been enjoying a lovely weekend over here. We stayed in on Friday night and caught up on Ted Lasso, and then last night we went to the Dave Matthews concert at Northerly Island! We’ve had tickets for a while, but my brother happened to be in town and decided to come last minute, which was such a treat! Outdoor concerts are one of the best parts of summer, and I always love going to shows with my brother – but it just hits different this summer while indoor events are still risky. I never thought I’d be so grateful to be able to dance around to live music!

A quick note:
On another note, I know that there are a lot of links this week about the vaccine and masks… but I was feeling very frustrated and anxious this past week. To my unvaccinated followers, your vaccinated friends and family are struggling. We are mentally and emotionally exhausted from a year and a half of social distancing, wearing masks, and getting our vaccines to help end this pandemic. And yet, somehow this country is back in a scary position again because not enough people got vaccinated and masked up, allowing a stronger variant to tear through our communities. It’s a lot to process.
Above being selfishly annoyed that I have to work out in a mask, or create COVID protocols for my (3-times-postponed and completely changed) wedding, or worry about my nephew with asthma or 91 year old Nana – it all just makes me really sad.
It makes me sad for the doctors and nurses who have to continue to show up to work and watch people beg them for the vaccine or experimental treatments to save their lives, but it’s too late. I am sad for the people who don’t think COVID will ever effect them, only to lose a loved one or end up in a hospital bed themselves. It makes me sad that grown adults hear “honor system” when it comes to masks and use that as an opportunity to lie and go maskless. Where is the honor in that?
I understand that people might have different views from me. But I hope you will at least read and consider some of the things I share. You could help save lives.

I got these face guards based on a recommendation in my Facebook group and they’re GREAT. They basically ensure that your mask stays away from your face when you’re breathing during a workout.
It’s the last day of the Nordstrom Sale today and somehow these pajamas are still in stock. They are the SOFTEST, not too long for petites, and such a steal right now! I wear a size small.
Did you see the front page of USA Today? Make sure you read the article, too.
Also, this was a really informative article if you are already vaccinated.
Have you been following Ally Love’s wedding WEEK?! It’s the most extra thing I’ve ever seen and I can get enough 😂
And speaking of Peloton weddings, big congrats to Ben and Leanne on their engagement!!! That VIEW! Swooon!
Loft sales have been crazy good recently – and they are offering 60% off sitewide right now!! I just ordered this pajama top and bottom set, this pretty dress, this dip dye sweatshirt and shorts, and camo sweatshirt and pants. They just arrived so I’ll pull a reel together shortly!
We made this chicken meatballs recipe earlier this week and both of us forgot how good it is. So flavorful and delicious!!

As if we needed another reason to love Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.
I thought this was an interesting take on last week’s very intense episode of The Bachelorette.
How beautiful is this Farm Rio dress? It makes me want to book a beach vacation ASAP.
My friend Danielle wrote a really powerful post about what it’s like to be a Cancer Mom during COVID.
These straight leg jeans are exactly what I needed in my wardrobe – and they come in ankle length for us petite gals!
I recently got this detox face masque, and it is a TREAT. Big fan.
A GOP politician from Texas who was very vocally against masks and vaccines died of COVID this week. Please learn from this.
