Sunday Spotlights 6

Happy Sunday! If you read last week’s roundup, you might remember that last week was a bit of a struggle. It seemed like there was never ending bad news, and I couldn’t figure out how to get out of the funk I was in. But after taking some time to relax and journal last weekend, I set some goals at the beginning of this week. The first one: listen to news podcasts first thing and then put the news away until the evening so I can focus on work.
I also realized that exercising always put me in a better mood, so I shifted those to the morning so I can start the day on the right foot. I stuck with both of those things every day Monday-Friday and I felt SO much more like myself. Small shifts that have made a big impact! Woo! (PS. I always link my exact workouts in my Sunday email blasts if you’re interested in subscribing!)
Sunday Spotlights 6
I’m pretty sure all corona brides need this sweatshirt 😉
Nancy Meyers and Katie Couric are hosting a reunion with the 1998 cast of The Parent Trap tomorrow!
After debating all of “the best” bike shorts forever, I realized I didn’t want to commit to expensive ones right now and I ordered this $26 pair from Aerie. I’ll report back!
Everyone was right – The Idea of You is AMAZING. It’s smart and fun and an interesting commentary on fame and age… and it’s very sexy, too.
Madewell is offering 40% off sale with code GIANT. I love these classic shorts, these chic sandals (these too!), this sweet dress, and these easy jeans.
I know I’m not a Mom, but this article still struck me so much. Especially this part:
“We’re holding a societal umbrella in a downpour; they’re laughing and pretending it’s not raining because they’re not wet. It’s exhausting.
Mock us if you want. Laugh at people like me. Call us paranoid. We lay our heads down at night with a clear conscience knowing that if we are overreacting, we are not doing any harm. If you are underreacting, you could be issuing death sentences to the people you meet.
Keep telling us it’s not raining. We’ll keep holding this umbrella, even though our arms are getting so, so tired.”
Athleta is offering 20% off their sale section right now!
We watched Palm Springs this week and it was not at ALL what I expected… but I also really appreciated that it was so original! I’ve definitely never seen anything like it, and the performances were really great.
A beautiful statement on the passing of John Lewis.
When I was researching for my post all about the best sustainable brands, I discovered these new running shoes… you all know I hate running, but HOW CUTE?!
This quote is everything.
Apparently it’s #LTKday, which means that there are exclusive discounts in the LikeToKnow. It app. I’m going to upload a few favorite sales right now for ya!
