Welp, we are at that level of this virus when my skin is FREAKING OUT from the stress of it all. Cooooooool. Luckily, quarantining is giving us a LOT of opportunities to hang out on the couch watching tv with a face mask on… which is exactly what I plan on doing for the next few weeks!
To be honest, I wasn’t planning on writing a post about this, but once I saw your recommendations (and the requests to share your recommendations ?), I thought it might be helpful to have them all in one spot for you guys. Since I haven’t tried your recs before, that is simply a list for you peruse… but after that, I included a little bit about the masks I own and love, too. I hope this is helpful – and. happy masking!
The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution (also known as the “blood mask”!)
BeautyCounter Charcoal Facial Mask (this is my sister-in-law and brother’s fave!)
Tula Exfoliating Treatment Mask (get 15% off with code LAKESHORELADY! I haven’t tried this one, but I love their primer, eye balm, and face wash!)
Glow Recipe Watermelon Mask (My skin didn’t like this one when I tried it, but so many of you love it!)
My Favorite Face Masks
This might be my favorite wash-off mask. It uses pumpkin and exfoliating apricot seed powder to polish away dead skin cells. In other words, it leaves your skin feeling super smooth and it smells like FALL. So good.
I honestly don’t even really consider this a mask, but I’m including it since they call it a mask ? Instead, I like to think of it as the ultimate facial moisturizer. Put this on dry skin before bed and you’ll wake up with moisturized skin in the morning. It’s one of my favorite skincare products for winter!
LOVE THIS MASK. While you can leave it on for 30 minutes and wash it off, it doesn’t tighten at all, so I just leave it on as an overnight mask when my skin is recovering from breakouts. I love that it feels really cooling and it is SO inexpensive, especially for the quality. Their Rosewater Gel Mask is another really soothing overnight mask, too!
This is the only “peel-off” mask that I own and it is super satisfying! This mask removes dirt, oil, makeup, and other impurities – but it also has ingredients like collagen, hyaluronic acid, and skin boosting botanicals. Plus, did I mention that it’s really fun to peel off?!

I feel slightly conflicted about this one. Is it lovely? Yes. Does it leave your skin feeling super smooth after? Yes. Do I enjoy using it? You betchya! But is it worth $80? I’m not sure!! I know SO many people who are obsessed with it, and a bunch of you recommended it last night, so part of me thinks that it’s just not life changing for MY skin. We’re all different!
Truth time: this is Adam’s favorite mask! The “Be Pure” mask cleanses, purifies, and refines the look of pores, while the “Be Dewy” mask helps to hydrate, calm, and reduce the appearance of redness. The formula firms up really nicely and washes off easily. We had their other duo combo too, but we ran out of that and it looks like its discontinued. So sad!
