If you’re short like me, here are the best petite friendly items from Everlane!
I know there are a bunch of other bloggers that love Everlane like I do, but I also know that it can be hard to trust what is going to look good on YOU if most of the gals you follow are tall and you’re not, right? Trust me, I feel you! As a 5’2″ gal with curves, I am definitely not going to look the same in a piece of clothing as a 5’8″ woman who is all legs!
Luckily, even though Everlane doesn’t have petite sizes, I’ve been able to find so many pieces with great proportions for me. Plus, the fact that they make their pants in “short” and “ankle” lengths is huge. So without further ado, here are all of my favorite petite friendly items from Everlane – complete with some thoughts on the quality, sizing, and fit!
The Best Petite Friendly Items from Everlane
The Best Fall 2021 Pieces for Petites
Say hello to the coziest half zip sweater in the world! The high collar on this makes it feel a little bit more elavated and stylish than my other half or quarter zips, and I can already tell I’m going to wear it a TON this winter. It runs a little oversized – I’m wearing an XS.
Cashmere AND collared? My heart! I knew I had to get this sweater in red because I love color, but it also comes in more neutrals too. It’s just as soft as you want it to be and I love that you can easily dress it up with a skirt or down with jeans. I got a size small so it would fit a little slouchy.
I am 5’2″ and these jeans in ankle length are PERFECT on me. I’ve gotten this style in regular sizing before, but I think I like the “curvy” version better because it still runs true to size but it gives a little bit more around the hips and booty. SO. NICE.
Whenever people ask me for bootie suggestions, I always recommend this pair. They literally feel like socks on your feet, plus the heel height is perfectly comfortable and walkable. They run true to size and they hold up well, too! I’ve had mine for over 2 years and they still look great!
The alpaca sweater that I’ve been raving about for the past few years is BACK! I opted for this perfectly neutral color this season since I have pink and teal from previous years. It runs oversized so I recommend taking your normal size instead of sizing up. (I wear an XS.)
If you’re looking for a petite friendly straight leg jean, get these in ankle length ASAP! I love that they don’t add too much volume to your legs – a key for petite gals. I wear my usual size in these and they are a little rigid, but they give nicely over time!
Alright this one definitely isn’t specific to petites, but I LOVE THIS BAG! I honestly wasn’t sure if I would like it on me, but I’ve been wearing it everywhere. Walks with Luna, street festivals, quick errands, you name it. It’s perfect.
This polo is another cashmere dream. Honestly, Everlane just does cashmere exceptionally well. I got this in a small and it’s a little big, but perfect with a little half tuck.
Ever struggled to find a cute cropped cardigan that works with jeans or over a little black dress? This is it! If you have a long torso, it might be a little too cropped for you since it only has 3 buttons – but if you’re short all around like me, I love it with high waisted jeans! Runs true to size.
The Best Tops for Petites
This cropped sweater cami is literally the CUTEST summer top ever. Super comfortable, super versatile, and on SALE! I got a size small and I’ve worn it with jeans, skirts, and skorts all summer!
If you’ve been searching for a flowy top to wear on those unbearable hot days – you need this one in your life. If you’re short like me, it won’t be super cropped on you. I am wearing an XS.
If you’re in the market for a great t-shirt, this one is one of my all time favorites. It runs true to size and I love that it’s not too long. It also comes in solids if stripes aren’t your thing!
This cropped cardi totally gives me 90’s vibes and I am INTO IT. I think I’ll wear it buttoned up as a top the most, but it would also be super cute unbuttoned over a sundress this spring and summer! I have a size small and it fits perfectly. I’m also wearing Everlane’s new slip on sneakers, too! They run true to size and are super comfy.
How many fitness camis have you tried on only to have the extra fabric bunch awkwardly around your hips? A LOT, right?! But not this one! This cami is perfectly cropped to sit right at or above your waist – and it has a built in bra, too!!! I don’t think I’d wear this for anything too high intensity, but it’s definitely going to be a favorite for yoga, pilates, barre, or even walks around the neighborhood. I also really love the perform bike shorts, too! I have a size small in both.
I love this hoodie because it’s boxy and roomy without being too overwhelming, thanks to the very slightly cropped fit. You can also get matching shorts, too! I have an XS in the hoodie and a small in the shorts.
Not only is this cashmere tee incredibly soft, but it also has excellent proportions for petite gals. The length hits at the top of my hip bones, so it can easily be half tucked at the waist without a ton of extra fabric, or just leave it as is since it isn’t crazy long! I’m wearing a size XS. (See more in this post!)
Love the color, the length of the sleeves, the ribbed fabric – this is such a great basic tee that definitely doesn’t overwhelm a petite frame. Wearing an XS!
This turtleneck is so soft, it feels like such a treat! It has an oversized fit, so I recommend sizing down if you’re petite like me. It’s also made from 100% recycled cashmere yarn – how cool is that?
You’ve definitely heard me rave about this sweater a million times, but I can’t help it! This sweater is definitely a little oversized, so not quite as petite friendly as some other styles. That being said, as long as you do not size up, I think it totally works. You can see more photos of how I’ve styled it in this post and this capsule wardrobe post (in another color)! Also, these colors are on sale right now!
The one I’m wearing above is sold out, but this one is SO similar that I had to mention it! You can choose from a thong or bikini style and the fit is awesome. (I also own this turtleneck bodysuit but I don’t have a photo of me in it – sorry!)
The Best Pants and Shorts for Petites
My favorite jeans now come in white? Yes please! I love that this white version is still soft and stretchy, but not see through at all. No summer embarrassments here! They also come in ankle length so us shorties don’t have to get them hemmed at the tailor.
If I had to choose one style for petites, it would be the Authentic Stretch High Rise Skinny Jeans in Ankle length. I have multiple pairs and they are the jeans I reach for the most often. High quality denim, great length (as long as you order them in ankle, not regular!), and I love the rise on them. They tend to run a little small, so if you are in between sizes, you might want to size up instead of down. I wear my usual size 26 and they’re a little snug – but that’s how I like my skinny jeans!
These jeans are the same as the pair above… just with a button fly! I never used to own button fly jeans, but these made me a believer (I also have them in black!). Super comfortable and super flattering. What more could you want?! You can see how I styled them different ways in this post.
I feel like I’ve been telling EVERYONE about their leggings ever since they launched them. I just think they’re such a great option for the price. See more of this color and my black pair in this post!
If you like the idea of boyfriend jeans, but you don’t want them to overwhelm you – these jeans are a GREAT alternative. They are a LOT more structured and stiff around the hips and waist than the other pairs I have, so if you don’t like to feel restricted, you might want to go up a size. See more in this post!
Even though these are also called cheeky straight jeans, they are very different from the 90s version above! First of all, they’re not nearly as stiff and I don’t think they run as small as the 90’s. Second, they’re way more of a Mom jean than a boyfriend jean. I know lots of taller skinnier gals that make these look super cool… but since I’m curvy and short, they definitely give more Mom vibes on me ? I personally still love them though – the rise is a little higher than the skinny jeans, and they’re just so freaking comfortable. They’re the perfect quarantine jeans when you need to get out of your sweats but you’re not quite ready to commit to skinnies!
I know most of you aren’t going to an office right now, but when you go back – these are the best work pants. I love that, even though they are a cropped style, they still made them in short for petite gals like us! WOOO! You can see more of these in this capsule post.
The Best Jumpsuits and Dresses For Petites
Everlane dresses usually don’t fit me right because I’m short, but this one fits like a dream!! I love the tiered skirt and open back so much. I got a size 0 and I wear these since you can’t wear a normal bra with it.
Shoes and Accessories
Even though shoes, bags, and accessories aren’t specific to petite gals, I wanted to share a few favorite just in case you’re in the market!
These booties instantly make any outfit cooler. Seriously, they are SO beautiful in real life, they run true to size, and they’re on MAJOR sale!
If you only ever buy one more pair of booties in your life, it should be these. They are the MOST comfortable boots I’ve even worn – they feel like sweaters on your feet! I think they run true to size, and you can see more photos of them in this post and this post!
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect sneaker forever. You know, the kind that are comfortable enough for long walks but still look cool? This pair checks all the boxes and didn’t need to be broken in at ALL. Plus, they’re under $100 and they are made with less waste, less energy, and less virgin plastic than other leather sneakers like them. Obsessed. (You can shop the rest of the outfit here.)
Not only do I love the style of these rain booties, but the price can not be beat. Where else can you get high quality waterproof boots for just $75? And they’re only $56 this week? Oh yeahhhh! You can see more in this post.
These sandals are my go-to every summer. While the bottoms are pretty flat, the leather straps feel like BUTTER, so you don’t have to worry about them cutting into your skin/giving you blisters. They’re the best.
Have you tried any other petite friendly items from Everlane?
Let me know in the comments! Also, this post was NOT sponsored, but Everlane has been incredibly generous of me and a bunch of these items were gifted. Of course, all opinions are my own, regardless of if I purchased the item or not though!
