The Best Virtual Games & Virtual Activities
I feel like every post is the “last” of something before Christmas, but now we’re actually at THE LAST past before Christmas! Woooo!
If I’m being totally honest, I wanted to research for this post a little more, but I realized that it would be better to give you SOME ideas before Christmas and New Year’s vs. zero ideas, right?! So, here are the virtual games and virtual activities that I know about… but if I left any off of this list, please leave a comment on this post, so others can see!! Thanks so much, friends!
The Best Virtual Games
Jackbox Games
Jackbox has a ton of games, and they even have tips for how to play them with friends remotely!
Quiplash
While Quiplash is a Jackbox game, I wanted it to be it’s own category because it is SO FUN. Basically there are no rules or correct answers. Players submit a response to each question, and then you vote on the best one – no matter how far apart you all are!
Goldstar Trivia
Choose from trivia themes like Gilmore Girls, Home Alone, Harry Potter, Seinfeld, and more!
Houseparty App
This app allows you to gather virtually with your friends with games like Act It Out, Quick Draw, Finish The Song Lyrics, and more!
More Virtual Activities
Bake, cook, or make cocktails together
Don’t overthink it! Just pick a recipe, schedule a time, and make it together… but in separate kitchens!
Virtual Candle Making
If you want something a little bit more official, I took a virtual candle making class with my Aunts and cousins last week and it was such a great way to connect with each other!
Virtual Wine Tasting
Love wine? A lot of wineries and wine shops are doing virtual wine tastings right now. If you’re in Chicago, Foxtrot has an upcoming tasting with sparking wine and I believe you can set up your own special virtual wine tastings with City Winery!
Watch Chicago Shakespeare Theatre’s Peter Pan
Did you know you could stream Chicago Shakes’ production of Peter Pan FOR FREE?! Seriously, how awesome is that?!
Chicago Symphony Orchestra Holiday Concerts
We may not be able to see the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in person right now, but you can stream their holiday concerts!
