Last weekend, I had the best Sunday ever and I’m so excited to tell you about it today!!
I had the pleasure of hosting a little brunch party on The Odyssey – an afternoon filled with great friends, sunshine, the gorgeous Lake Michigan and plenty of Bloodies and Mimosas… obviously 🙂
As soon as I saw this cute prop with Lake Shore Lady’s Yacht Squad written on it, we all decided #LSLyachtsquad was the perfect event hashtag. Thanks for the inspo, Odyssey!!
Not only did we get spoiled at the party, but I got spoiled beforehand too! I tried Blohaute for the first time that morning, and April was amazing. First of all, they make it unbelievably easy by coming right to your home, but I also love that they have such unique styles to choose from! This braid was perfect for the windy boat and feminine dress.
Speaking of the dress, I had been crushing on this one by Red Valentino for a while – so when I saw it at the new Rent the Runway store in Chicago, I knew it was perfect for this occasion. My stylist was so lovely and picked tons of gorgeous dresses for me, but we both knew that this one was the winner. It’s sweet and classic and it fit the venue perfectly – especially with a mimosa!
We even bopped over to the carousel on Navy Pier after we docked to snap a few more pictures. This dress, guys! I wish I didn’t have to give it back! Although, I’m already excited to rent again… what should I wear next?!
Now enough about what I wore, and back to the party!
I honestly can’t imagine a better way to spend a Sunday. The sun was shining, my favorite people were all in one place, the drinks were flowing, the staff was wonderful, and there was even an awesome DJ on the roof deck!! I mean… this was an ideal situation.
Aren’t my friends so pretty?!
So, do you want this to be you?! You can find Odyssey Cruises options here – the brunch cruise starts at $65, but there are also dinner and lunch options; as well cruises on their other boats like Spirit and Mystic Blue.
I never even knew that this was an option, but how fun would it be to have a birthday party or engagement party on this yacht?! Or if you don’t have a party coming up, you could just take out of town guests for a ride and show off our amazing skyline!
Also, if you follow any other Chicago Bloggers, some of my guests might look a little familiar!
Thanks for such a great time, Odyssey Cruises! And to Kelly for sending over a bunch of her gorgeous photos for me to use in this post!
