Top Bestsellers and Blog Posts of 2020
Happy first Monday of 2021, everyone! I feel like I have a million ideas for this next year, but I thought it would be fun to kick it off with one last post about 2020… the most popular posts and my top 20 bestsellers!
I’ve always tried to pay some attention to my analytics, but this year I got really into it. What is really popular in search engines? What is really popular with my loyal readers? What types of products do you like to buy? What types of blog posts make shopping easier for you? There is so much to break down and I had a lot of fun taking a close look at all of it these past few weeks. Whether you remember these blog posts and/or products really well or you completely missed them, I hope you enjoy this fun roundup!
Top Bestsellers and Blog Posts of 2020
10 Most Popular Posts of 2020
1. A Letter to Brides Affected By COVID-19
This post really blew up back in March, and I’m so glad that it’s reached so many brides struggling with planning weddings during a pandemic. My wedding update with some thoughts on comparative suffering was also very popular, too.
2. Cauliflower Gnocchi with Asparagus, Chicken Sausage, and Pesto
This cauliflower gnocchi recipe is so simple, which makes it the perfect easy and healthy weeknight meal. Also, even though my recipe with Trader Joe’s Sweet Potato Gnocchi hasn’t gotten as many pageviews, it’s still a favorite of mine!
3. Gochujang Noodles
I haven’t made these in so long because Adam isn’t the biggest fan of spicy foods, but they are soooo yummy!
4. 16 TV Shows For Couples Who Can’t Agree On What To Watch
I actually need to update this post and find a spot for The Undoing on there!
5. Where To Shop For Wedding Dresses In Chicago
Are you engaged? This post talks about all of the best bridal shops in Chicago. You might also like my roundup of Chicago wedding venues, too!
6. Petite Friendly Items from Everlane
Everlane doesn’t have it’s own petite section, but they do have a lot of great styles for petites.
7. Our Peloton Bike Alternative
When we first bought our stationary bike, I never thought it would be so popular! You guys also loved The Best Themed Peloton Rides, too!
8. Guide To Lululemon Leggings
If you’re not familiar with Lululemon, it can be hard to know where to start when it comes to their leggings! This guide breaks down the different styles, fabrics, and lengths.
9. Sweetgreen Harvest Bowl Knockoff
I’ve been meaning to recreate their amazing Harvest Bowl at home for years – and I finally did it! So so so good!

20 Top Bestsellers of 2020
1. Equilibria CBD
WHAT would I have done in 2020 without Equilibria CBD?! I mean, HONESTLY! Even through all of the chaos and confusion, I was still able to maintain some balance and more importantly, sleep at night! They also extended their big 50% off subscriptions sale, which is an insane deal! Use code lakeshorelady50 to get yours as soon as you can (I recommend the Balance Box or the Brilliance Box!) and if you’re new, you can also read all about the benefits of CBD oil here, too!
2. Joroto Bike
Another saving grace for my mental health this year – our Joroto bike! Of course a $400 bike isn’t going to be as impressive as a $2500 bike, but I am so so glad we decided to get it back in March. It has been so nice to be able to ride along with the Peloton app and prove that you don’t need to have a ton of disposable income to get a great workout at home! Also, I cover all of the frequently asked questions about it in this blog post!
3. Always Pan
Ahhhh the Always Pan! What a lovely bright spot of 2020! When we moved, we got rid of a lot of our old pans when we moved and I was looking for one great pan to hold us over until we registered for more… and then I discovered Our Place! You can read my full review here, but the moral of the story is that they are an awesome company, nothing sticks to it, and it is SO EASY to clean!
4. Ew Covid Mug
This Schitt’s Creek lover in me is pretty obsessed with the fact that this mug was a Top 5 bestseller ? I can’t even take credit for finding it either! My friend Kate sent it to me because she’s the best. Everyone needs one.
5. Align Leggings
Ever since I published my Guide to Lululemon Leggings, you guys have been treating yourself! I think it also helps that Lululemon has included align leggings in their sales this year. Finally!!!
6. Biden Harris Sweatshirt
I know I ruffled a few feathers with this sweatshirt, but I also love how many of you purchased it after seeing this celebratory instagram! Woooooo!
7. Beis Weekender Bag
I’m sad that it’s sold out at Nordstrom (where I got mine), but you can still order this weekender from the Beis website! It’s such a great bag for short trips and weekend getaways. I especially love the bottom compartment for shoes.
8. Chicago Print
This was such a big hit from my Chicago Gift Guide!
9. Thermal Henley
This henley was pretty much all I bought from the Nordstrom sale this year – but it’s a good one! So soft and cozy.
10. Super Diva Sweatshirt
After the passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, I found this Super Diva sweatshirt that looks just like the one she wears in the RBG documentary!
11. Glowscreen
If you have trouble remembering to put SPF on in the morning and/or don’t love foundation… meet Glowscreen. I discovered this at the beginning of summer and completely fell in love. It is great underneath foundation, but it’s also great on days when you don’t want to put make up on because it gives you very subtle glowy coverage. It’s awesome.
12. Chicago Bears Sweatshirt
I ordered this big vintage sweatshirt at the start of the Bears season and while it definitely didn’t bring them any luck (?), I’m glad I have it!
13. Nordic Boots
If you need cute winter boots that are also comfortable and warm, these are my favorites! Since they don’t have half sizes, I sized up from my usual 6.5 to a 7.
14. Quilted Coat
This coat was my other Nordstrom sale purchase! The only reason I didn’t end up keeping it was because it’s very similar to another Ralph Lauren coat that I have… otherwise it’s beautiful and warm. And it’s on sale again!
15. Authentic Stretch Jeans
These are probably the jeans that you see me wearing the most often. The fit is great, they have ankle length for petites, and they’re only $68.
16. Wunder Under Leggings
The wunder under style were your 2nd favorites from my Lululemon leggings guide! I especially like this fabric for spin classes.
17. Return Address Stamp
Yes, a pretty return address stamp makes a great gift – but it’s also a really nice thing to buy for yourself if you move to a new home, too!
18. Smart Garden
I had a feeling this indoor garden would be a hit when I added it to my Gift Guide For Parents and In-Laws… and I was right! Such a cool concept, especially for those of us who can’t garden outside in the winter.
19. Sunday Riley A+ Retinol Serum
YAY! My favorite retinol made the list this year!!!! This is one of the only skincare purchases that I consistently purchase over and over. I love that it’s powerful but still hydrating. Such a great product.
20. Pimple Patches
Last but not least, the best pimple patches in the world!! You should never ever ever attempt to pop a pimple ever again. Just put one of these on and go to sleep. Seriously, they are magical.
