RTR on TODAY
Dress: Trina Turk c/o Rent the Runway | Bag: c/o Rebecca Minkoff | Earrings: similar
Here are a few things that might not surprise you. When I found out I was going to be on The Today Show, I…
1. freaked out and maybe cried a little.
2. picked out the recipe.
3. realized I needed something awesome to wear!
Luckily, there is a Rent the Runway showroom right in Chicago and they hooked me UP 🙂 They had tons of great dresses for me to try, even on late notice, and they gave me helpful opinions about the options with and without the apron I brought in! (Haha had to make sure it would look cute for the actual segment, right?!)
This floral Trina Turk dress was the first one I tried on and ended up being just what I needed. Springy, bright and cheerful – plus, it fit like a glove!
My time in the studio flew by so fast, that when I started walking out, I realized I barely got any photos of me in this cute little number! Luckily, I was meeting my friend Kate, and she was gracious enough to snap some pics for me. She did a good job, didn’t she?! Way to go, Kate!
I think my goofy grin in these photos makes sense, given the morning I had just had – but if you’re wondering why my hand is on my hair in almost all of these, it’s because it was SO WINDY! Minutes after we put the camera away, there was a huge downpour! Don’t worry, we took that as a sign to catch up at one of our favorite restaurants, so it worked out pretty perfectly if you ask me 🙂
Have a great day, everyone!

Wait I'm actually really impressed by my photography skills! But I guess it helps when your bestie is a beautiful blog modeling pro and just tells you to point and click 🙂
