The Ultimate Wedding Season Dress Guide for 2018
You guys… is Spring HERE?! I know it’s still a little chilly, but any temps over 50 feel pretty awesome in comparison to low wind chills and snow. And you know what those warmer temps mean? Wedding season is quickly approaching!
Luckily, Adam and I have a really calm Spring and Summer this year – but last year, we went to 7 weddings, Adam went to an additional one without me, and we had to turn down 2. Yeah… we were BUSY. So if you are gearing up for a lot of weddings, I really feel ya ? It can be really exhausting and expensive, but at the end of the day, celebrating the love of your friends and family should be fun!
Which is why I’ve put together the Ultimate Wedding Season Dress Guide for 2018! You’ll see my favorite options for Bridal (& Baby) Showers, Casual Weddings, Fancy Weddings, and of course – my favorite dresses under $100! I hope this guide helps you find something to wear that you feel GREAT in, so you can pose for pictures with confidence and/or tear it up on the dance floor all night. Let’s dig in!
PS. The dress pictures above was featured in this blog post. You can find the same cut here in a new print!
Dresses for Bridal (& Baby) Showers
1. Eliza J Bow Dress (also comes in Navy!) | 2. Gal Meets Glam Floral Dress | 3. Eliza J Sheath Dress | 4. Ann Taylor Jumpsuit | 5. Free People Wrap Dress (comes in 4 colors!) | 6. Lush Wrap Front Dress (only $29!) | 7. Flynn Skye Mini Dress | 8. Anthropologie Linen Jumpsuit
Since showers are usually daytime events, I usually try to find a nice mix of polished and comfortable. I also like to either pull from my closet or buy something that I know I can wear a LOT after the shower. For example, I already know that this polka dot dress and this flattering wrap dress will be shower staples moving forward for me! Also, if you have a shower to attend in May and you’re unsure what the weather will be like (Oh, Chicago), jumpsuits are a great option! I absolutely love both this one and this one!

Casual Wedding
1. Gal Meets Glam Puff Sleeve Dress | 2. BB Dakota Sheath Dress | 3. Red Carter One Shoulder Dress | 4. Free People Maxi (seen on me here!) | 5. Ann Taylor Gingham Dress | 6. Amanda Uprichard Tate Dress (seen on me here!)
Casual weddings can be really vague, which makes them really hard to shop for. What does “rustic chic” even mean, am I right?! That being said, I love when I can wear whatever I want to a wedding. Oh, it’s cool if I wear this super fun new palm print dress to your Arizona wedding? GREAT. I also think my new Free People Maxi (that I wore in Charleston!) would be perfect for an outdoor garden wedding. And this twirly dress from last year? That cutie works for pretty much any summery wedding – and it’s on major sale (here and here) right now!

Fancy Weddings
1. Bardot Faux Wrap Dress (can you believe it’s only $109?!) | 2. Rebecca Taylor Floral Dress | 3. Aidan by Aidan Mattox Color Blocked Dress | 4. Amanda Uprichard Venezia Gown (reminds me of this maxi!) | 5. Gal Meets Glam Off the Shoulder Dress | 6. Yumi Kim Because of You Maxi | 7. Amanda Uprichard Cherri Gown | 8. Yumi Kim Floral Maxi (to rent!)
We’ve all gotten that invitation. You know, the one that doesn’t SAY black tie, but you know just by the invitation and venue that you can’t show up in a sundress. It can be hard to find the perfect thing to wear, especially if you’re trying not to break the bank! That’s why I love love love this option. You’ll look like a stunner in that royal blue color, and it looks wayyyy more expensive than $109! But if you want to spend a little more, this red and pink dress is so fresh for summer… or you could go the super sexy route with this gown version of the romper I wore for my 30th birthday last year!

Under $100
1. Aqua Bow Detail Dress | 2. Lulus Chiffon Gown | 3. Bardot Off the Shoulder Dress | 4. Speechless Body Con Dress | 5. Aqua Polka Dot Dress (reminds me of this one I have!) | 6. Endless Rose Ruffle Mini Dress
And because most of us don’t have unlimited funds, I obviously had to include some budget friendly options, too! I definitely don’t think you need to spend a fortune to look like a million bucks – and these options are great for all 3 categories above!
