Valentine’s Day Gifts on Good Day, Chicago!
Happy Friday, everyone!! If you’re working from home this morning, I’d love for you to tune in to Good Day, Chicago around 9:30/9:45am to see yours truly!! I’ll be talking about Valentine’s Day Gifts for both him and her – and they’re all super affordable! But don’t worry if you can’t watch it live – I’ll embed the video right here for you once I get back. Stay tuned!
And if you came here because you watched Good Day Chicago and want to know more about the products in the segment – welcome to Lake Shore Lady!! Now, let’s go shoppin:
For Her
I have a few other ideas that we’ll get to, but let’s start with the segment! If you want to shop for Valentine’s Day gifts in person, I’d head straight to the Boss Babe Pop Up Shop in Block37. You’ll find the adorable pillows, blogger mug, journal and XO Marshmallows there… and bonus! You’ll also be able to shop items from Alice & Wonder and VO Jewelry – both run by two incredibly awesome Chicago ladies! I also love the idea of getting her a pretty new french press by Unison, and then brewing up some coffee for her before work. THAT is a Valentine’s Day win! We also talked about some amazing products Advanced Clinicals, a fun baking class on Gilt City and these darling Rosefinch Slippers by Birdies.
If you were hoping to spoil her a little bit more this year, you obviously can’t really go wrong with jewelry. Monica Vinader, Dana Rebecca and Brilliant Earth usually have great selections… but if she’s been eyeing the necklace I wear every. single. day. then I’d check out Vrai & Oro. I personally love that I can wear it with absolutely anything. Knowing that I have it on always makes me SO happy because of who it came from. Highhhly recommend that gift ?
On another note, Valentine’s Day was pretty much made for sweet deliveries. If she likes flowers, I always recommend Flowers for Dreams. They’re a Chicago based company and their arrangements are so unique and absolutely gorgeous!! And not only do they source from local markets, but they also donate 1/4 of their profits to local charities each month. So awesome, right?!
And last but not least, how about this DARLING basket from Cookies By Design?! If you saw my insta-story this week, you heard me GUSH over the whole basket, especially the adorable Build-A-Bear that comes with it! It’s so soft and snuggly… and yes, it’s still sitting on my desk! As if the bear wasn’t enough, my favorite part of this gift is the customizable cookies. They can add the date of your anniversary, a silly inside joke, her nickname, or even a photo! There are so many ways to make this super personal and sweet. Plus, you can enjoy the cookies together once it arrives! Order one on their site right here… or forward the link to your man with the subject line “Hint hint” ?
And yes, I had them add my favorite line from Parks & Recreation to my basket. Swoonnnnn!!!
For Him
I’ll admit, I have less ideas for the men… probably because most of the men in my life could care less about Valentine’s Day gifts haha! I tend to think something small, like this awesome/nerdy mug or socks, along with a home cooked meal would do the trick – but I have a few other options for you, too! If your guy is really into beer, this beer cap state map is pretty sweet. He can pop a cap in every time he tries a new craft beer – and when it’s done, it’s a cool piece of “art” for your living room or kitchen! Or if he’s taking his new year’s resolution really seriously, cheer him on with some Vega Protein Shake Powder, a yoga mat or a muscle roller. I also liked the idea of sweets from Sugar Factory, an Oar + Alps Skincare Kit, Layer3 TV, and Bucketfeet shoes.
And if you’re shaking your head at all of that, how about a staycation?! I am so excited to spend a night relaxing at the Loews Hotel in a few weeks – such a great present that you both can enjoy! And really, who wouldn’t want to disconnect for a day, especially when massages are involved, right? Thought so ?
Have you guys started shopping for Valentine’s Day Gifts yet?

What fun gift ideas! We usually skip out on gifts, as we’re not big Valentine’s Day people. This year my husband did mention he was thinking about getting me something small for Valentine’s Day, and that made me a bit excited. I asked him if it was diamond earrings (you know because they’re small), and he just rolled his eyes! 😉
