My Travel Essentials (+ a Vera Bradley Suitcase giveaway!)

Happy Tuesday, friends! I have to admit, it feels like a Monday for me because I was still in Charleston yesterday. If you follow along with my instagram feed and stories, you probably saw that it’s an ADORABLE city. We had an amazing time and I took so many photos, so now I’m really pumped to put together a recap post for you guys! (Right now, I’m thinking that will be live on Friday – stay tuned!)

But because my travel always seems to come in spurts, I’m in GSD mode for the rest of this week, because we leave for Colorado next week! That’s right, next Wednesday, Adam and I are heading back to the airport to celebrate his 30th birthday in the mountains. While I could use more sun than snow right now, we’ve been wanting to do this for a while – and everything we have lined up sounds like such a blast!

But back to the point of this post! Because I’m no stranger to packing up a suitcase (Hey 8 weddings last year! Remember me?!), I jumped at the chance to work with Vera Bradley on a travel collaboration for their blog and instagram. But as soon as I started working on all of this for them, I realized I wanted to share it here, too!

Also, this cute little crossbody bag has been my go-to travel purse LONG before this collaboration was ever on the table… and it’s by Vera Bradley, too! Haha I swear – isn’t that such a great coincidence?! I always pack it because the leather is great, it goes with everything and it can be completely flat in your suitcase. It’s the perfect thing to pack for nights out!

Now, while the bulk of my stuff has always gone in something like this Vera Bradley suitcase, my “personal bag” has always been the most important to me. And right before this collaboration, the zipper on the bag I had been using broke! Talk about perfect timing! But I took this new Vera Bradley weekender with me to Charleston this past weekend and it is EVERYTHING I could want. The bag itself is super lightweight, its really roomy, and it even has great compartments for organization! So, here’s what goes inside…

Also, I took this hanging organizer to Charleston and I am OBSESSED. It is SO nice to have so many essentials in the same little foldable life changer. My toothbrush, razor, makeup, makeup brushes, makeup wipes… it all fits in this handy little thing! Life = changed.

Oh, and you can easily slide the weekender onto your suitcase handle. Win!
