Even though these cocktails are perfect on their own, I’ve been having fun experimenting with mix-ins like these watermelon ice cubes. It is such a simple recipe that pairs perfectly with their Cucumber Lemonade canned cocktail to add a little bit more delicious summer flavor. Just writing this makes me want to go pour one for myself. It. Is. So. Good.
How To Make Watermelon Ice Cubes
Ingredients
1/4 watermelon (about 4 cups)
1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
1/2 tbsp honey (optional)
Directions
Roughly chop 1/4 of a watermelon and add it to a blender. Taste it to see if it’s sweet enough on it’s own – if not add about a 1/2 tbsp honey. Add 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves.
Blend until the watermelon is smooth. Pour into an ice tray.
Freeze for about 3 hours or until the cubes have set.
Put 3 cubes in a glass and pour the chilled Cucumber Lemonade canned cocktail on top. Garnish with a lemon slice and more mint!
More about Prairie Organic Sparking Craft Cocktails
Just in case you haven’t heard me rave about Prairie Organic Spirits before, they produce award-winning spirits made with organic corn that is grown without herbicides and pesticides on Minnesota family farms. They were also the first USDA Certified Organic spirits brand and they remain the #1 organic vodka & gin to this day. And let me tell you, you can taste the difference. Their vodka and gin is so incredibly smooth – my favorite by far.
Needless to say, when I found out that they were launching sparkling craft cocktails, I was SO excited. As you can see, my personal favorite is the Cucumber Lemonade flavor made with their organic vodka. But they also have a Grapefruit flavor with organic vodka and Minnesota Bootleg with organic gin, crisp lime, and fresh mint. YUM.
The best part is that, amidst a lot of canned options right now, you can feel good about the fact that these are made with natural and organic ingredients. No mysteries here!
