The Best Wedding Guest Shoes (Including heels that don’t sink in grass!)
It can be hard to find wedding guest shoes that don’t hurt all night, break the budget, or sink in the grass. Luckily, this roundup has a ton of great options for wedding season!
After 2 years of cancelled/postponed/modified weddings, it is looking more and more likely that celebrations will be back to normal this upcoming wedding season… and that means you might need some new dresses and SHOES!!
I really like this particular topic because it’s all about making a good investment. Trends are fun, but you need reliable shoes you feel good in to get you through multiple weddings! And no, I don’t mean that you need to invest hundreds and hundreds of dollars into the best shoes on the planet. (There are a ton in this post that are under $100!) But I do think it’s important to look at what types of weddings you’re going to and what types of dresses you’re wearing, so that you can purchase the shoes that will actually get you through all those ceremonies and dance floors. Plus, we all love a neutral and versatile shoe that go with literally all of the dresses you plan on wearing!
Best Wedding Guest Shoes:
Casual Wedding Guest Shoes (aka heels that won’t sink in grass)
One of the questions I used to get asked a lot surrounding wedding season is “Can you help me find heels that don’t sink in the grass?” And I always tell people to just go straight for a chunky heel. I am so done with those little plastic stoppers that you attach to stilettos. BUH BYE! Obviously, if you’re a bridesmaid and you need to wear specific heels, that’s a different story. But if you’re just a guest at an outdoor wedding… girl, buy yourself some comfortable heels!
If you don’t need something super high or fancy, I can’t recommend these 2″ block heels enough. They are next level comfy – I could wear them all day and then some. If you want a little more of a boost, I also just ordered these $35 heels that look a whole lot like this $125 pair! I’m usually weary of “dupes” but a few of you said they’re comfortable so I’ll update you all when they arrive. But the best part about all three? They won’t sink if you have to walk in any grassy areas!
Fancier Wedding Guest Shoes
Of course, not everyone has a casual outdoor wedding – so we need shoes for the fancy affairs, too! If you prefer a block heel, I never get tired of recommending my wedding shoes! They’re beautifully made, really comfortable, and they come in a bunch of different colors! While we’re talking about versatile investment shoes, I also love my Sarah Flint pumps (pictured above!). They are by far the most comfortable stiletto heel I’ve ever owned. Seriously, I’m always surprised by how long my feet can last in them – plus, they are so classic. They will never go out of style! If those are out of budget, these $39 heels are a cute nod to the LR ones, and I am swooning over these braided Banana Republic heels!
