What I should I ask for this Christmas?
Shark FlexStyle (dupe for the Airwrap!) | Mini Uggs | Weighted Washable Silk Sleep Mask | Gorjana Necklace | Firenze Sweatshirt
Sezane Sweater | Touch Screen Gloves (50% off!) | Merit Lipstick | Stanley Cup | Robot Vacuum (also eyeing this Roomba that’s on sale!!)
Drying Stone (my brother told me about theirs and now I want one!) | Wireless Charger | Portable Tripod (a little niche for me but also great for families who love group photos!) | Bulls Sweatshirt | Hotel Lobby Candle (seems lame, but it’s not. They’re AMAZING.) | Acupressure Mat (less expensive option here!)
What should I ask for this Christmas?
Now that it’s officially December, it’s officially the time when I start hearing people ask “but wait… what should I ask for this Christmas?” It’s so easy to get wrapped up in gift ideas for everyone else that we forget about our own wishlists… and then your Mom or significant other asks and you have no idea what to say! Anyone else been there?
So this year, I thought I’d add a gift guide to the lineup with some ideas that are currently on my wishlist. That being said, please don’t skip guides like For Her, Wellness Gifts, or even my What I Own and Love post from Cyber Week for ideas! Because let’s be real, if I didn’t buy myself my walking pad, would I have it on this list? ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY!
Hair Tools
I actually haven’t asked anyone for the Shark FlexStyle yet because it’s still a little pricey – but it is WAY less than the AirWrap and I keep seeing people rave about how it works pretty much the exact same way. I am SO intrigued!
New Necklace
I don’t wear a lot of jewelry, but Adam keeps talking about getting me a new necklace that’s simple and high quality so I can wear it all the time. Because I don’t wear a ton, I tend to be a little picky/don’t want anyone to spend a lot on something I won’t end up wearing – but this necklace by Gorjana has caught my eye. I also think Dana Rebecca Designs (a Chicago based brand!) and Merjuri have really beautiful options too!
Mini Uggs
I have an old pair of black Koolaburra boots, so I’ve been going back and forth as to whether I want the trendy new mini Uggs… and of course now that they’re sold out of the chestnut color everywhere, I NEED THEM 😂 Looks like Koolaburra has a very similar mini style – but I’m kind of digging they grey and forest night colors in the actual mini Uggs now too!
Graphic Sweatshirts
I’m a huge Heather McMahan fan, so I’ve been eying her Firenze sweatshirt ever since it came out – especially since it has 1987 on it (the year I was born)! It’s pretty expensive for a sweatshirt, so I haven’t purchased it for myself… but that’s what would make it a great gift, right?! If you want to ask for this Christmas for something more affordable, I also love this Bulls sweatshirt. Adam and I went to a game last month and they’re so good this year!
Special Sweater
Sezane is one of those special brands in my eyes. Their stuff isn’t so expensive that I can never shop there, but it’s just expensive enough that I don’t shop there a ton. I bought myself one of their sweaters last year and I love it so much, so I’ve added this floral print sweater to my wishlist this year. So feminine but still so cozy. Swoon.
Merit Lipstick
After purchasing and falling in love with their complexion stick, flush balm, and lip oil – I now want to see if their lipsticks are as good as everything else. I’m eyeing the Millennial Pink color! Also very curious about their glow serum too…
Robot Vaccum
Adam and I have been talking about getting a robot vacuum of sorts to help us with Luna hair because… it’s a lot 😂 We’ve held off because we know she will hate it, but we also think we could run it at night when she’s in the bedroom with us or run it when one of us has her out on a walk. I found this one by a brand I don’t know first, but then I came across this Roomba that’s on sale… I think either one would be great!
Wireless Charger
I got one of these wireless chargers for Adam last year and he keeps it on his bedside table to use at night. But lately I’ve been really wishing we had another one to keep in the kitchen or living room so when either of our phones need it, we can just pop it on there for a little charge!
Gift Cards and/or Experiences
Gift cards can feel like a really impersonal gift, but I think they are much more meaningful when they are associated with an experience! For example, ask for a gift card to Legendary so you can get your nails done! Or find a great spa so you can get a massage! I also think it’s fun to ask for tickets to a Broadway in Chicago show that you can enjoy with the person who gets them for you. That might cost a little bit more than they might want to spend… but they get to enjoy it too!!
