What to Wear (and drink) on Thanksgiving
I showed you some of my favorite Thanksgiving essentials from around the web, but today I thought I’d feature what I personally like to wear for the holiday…
We all know that Thanksgiving is the perfect time to pull out comfy sweaters. But it’s also the perfect time to spike a cozy drink! So… let’s make ourselves a little Hot Toddy:
Steep a tea bag in hot water. Add half a lemon and half a tbsp of honey.
Then pull out the whiskey!
No really… spike it! The combination of all of the flavors will warm you right up. I make this when I feel like I’m getting sick – believe it or not, lemon is good for your immune system, honey and tea are soothing, and the whiskey helps to numb your throat. It also happens to be delicious.
If you’re thinking that the liquid in the mug looks darker than a hot toddy, you caught me. I thought I’d be a good girl and stick to coffee during the shoot 🙂
To go back to my Thanksgiving day style, I love this two-in-one sweater for a layered look without the bulk – and it goes perfectly with my favorite jeans that feel like leggings. Comfort is key, right?!
Psst… have you tried my Peanut Butter Snowballs? They will definitely be a hit at your gathering next week.
Maybe part of me refuses to grow up, but when it comes to bows, I can’t get enough over the holidays. It adds the perfect something special to an otherwise ordinary ponytail.
(I might need more – Forever21 has so many cute ones!)
By the way, this sweater is 40% off right now – take advantage!

Very cute! I love the tiny bow! Thanksgiving is tricky to dress for, no? Especially when there are so many types of pie…

It's definitely tricky, Hollyn! A sweater and comfortable stretchy denim is my go to.
