My Favorite Tourist Outfit
Last week, I focused on the amazing food in Kansas City… along with a quick peek at the outfit I wore all around town on Saturday. I didn’t link the details in the post or through LikeToKnow. It on Instagram, because my white maxi skirt is sold out. But after I saw all of your enthusiastic responses, I knew it was definitely worth the research to find similar options! Keep scrolling to recreate this look for yourself!

why I love this outfit
To be honest, I love this look for any day – but I especially love it for a touristy day of exploring! First of all, it’s super comfortable. A maxi skirt isn’t restricting at all, which is always nice in my book! Plus, you definitely don’t have to worry about showing too much skin/your skirt blowing up in the wind/etc. Second, it’s easy to pack. I mean, these two pieces might as well be a dress – so simple to put together!
And third, it works for the most casual places you want to go AND a lot of dressier places, too! It feels very easy breezy, but the crop top is trendy enough/the white maxi skirt is sleek enough to also go to dinner without changing. I wore this to brunch, a farmer’s market, a brewery tour, and the prettiest coffee shop in town. It worked for every location perfectly. Such a big win!
Also, we have to chat about this bag! A few days before I left for KC, I got invited to a fun event with a new Chicago designer, Holly & Tanager. I was excited to swing by, but I had no idea the bags were going to be so beautiful! This particular bag is called The Companion and it can be worn as either a crossbody or a clutch. So versatile! It’s also made from buttery soft Italian leather and the quality is amazing. So glad I discovered this brand!!
