Have a few weddings coming up? Here are a bunch of fall and winter wedding guest dresses to choose from!
dress is old from reformation
While we usually think of wedding season in the summer, more and more couples are choosing to get married in the fall and winter. Whether they just want cooler temps and foliage, or they’re going for holiday vibes, there are many reasons to set a date this time of year.
But what do you wear as a guest? It can be tricky to find dresses for fall and winter weddings because the weather can be a real factor. It could be 60 degrees or there could be a snowstorm. Who knows?!
Luckily there are a lot of trends right now that work in our favor. Long sleeves, maxi dresses, and jumpsuits are everywhere, so you can be a little bit more covered and still feel super chic and fun. WIN! Here are some of my favorites…

Fall and Winter Wedding Guest Dresses
Late Summer/Fall Wedding Guest Dresses
These fall wedding guest dresses are perfect for those later summer/early fall weddings when the weather is still pretty warm – but you also want something that feels like fall! I love that the 4 above are all super affordable at less than $200. The ASTR The Label Gaia Dress (seen on me here in a size small) and this pretty midi (seen on me here in a size small!) are both 25% off right now too!
Long Sleeve Fall Wedding Guest Dresses
These long sleeve fall wedding guest dresses are so feminine and fun, without feeling to heavy for a September or October wedding. As you might have noticed, ASTR The Label is the queen of this style and this one (seen on me here in a size small!) and this one are both 25% off right now! I also looove this green print. So pretty! Shop more below:
Long Sleeve Winter Wedding Guest Dresses
When it comes to long sleeve wedding guest dresses for winter, I think it’s all about color and fabric. You obviously can’t go wrong with black but deep greens and reds are also perfect.
I tried this black mini dress last year (seen here!) and it’s GORGEOUS in person. I am smaller on top than I am on bottom so it didn’t quite work for me, but if you have a bigger bust or smaller booty than I do, this is an amazing choice. It would also look so pretty with tights – and it’s under $200!!
Black Tie Winter Wedding Guest Dresses
I have a black tie optional wedding coming up in November, so this has been so top of mind for me that I wrote a whole blog post about Black Tie Wedding Guest Dresses here! I ordered this one (stay tuned for an update there!) but I also love all of these too:
Reformation Wedding Guest Dresses
If you know me, you know that I think Reformation makes the best wedding guest dresses. I’ve worn their dresses to countless weddings over the years – and I even have a big blog post all about Reformation Sizing that talks through everything I own/have tried recently. Highly recommend!
New Year’s Eve Wedding Guest Dresses
Obviously sequins come to mind whenever anyone thinks about New Year’s Eve, but they certainly aren’t a requirement. I love this shimmery dress (seen on me here – needs a slip!) and this metallic striped dress if full on sequins aren’t your thing. Or if you prefer something more classic, opt for a black dress that has just a little something extra like this bow dress!
