Winter Wedding Guest Dresses + Reformation Try On
Not sure what to wear when your friend’s get hitched this season? Here are my favorite wedding guest dresses for Fall and Winter!
I have been getting a ton of requests for fall and winter wedding guest dresses recently, so I thought I’d give this post a little update for ya! I’ve kept the categories the same for the past few years, but please let me know if you’re looking for something that I didn’t cover and I’ll keep an eye out for you!
Also, there’s a little Reformation try on if you keep scrolling. I know that pretty much all of those styles are sold out because they’re from two years ago, but I kept that whole section as is just in case any of you are looking to purchase a similar style from them. Their sizing can be a little wonky, but I hope my insights help you out!

Winter Wedding Guest Dresses
Okay now let’s chat about wedding guest dresses! It can be really hard to find dresses for fall/winter weddings because the weather can be a real factor. It could be 60 degrees or there could be a snowstorm. Who knows?! You definitely have more choices right now, but I like to have either my arms or legs covered once we hit November. Even though you’ll likely be inside most of the time, it can still be chilly!
Luckily there are a lot of trends right now that work in our favor. Long sleeves, maxi dresses, and jumpsuits are everywhere, so you can be a little bit more covered and still feel super chic and fun. WIN! Here are some of my favorites…
Fall Dresses:
I just got the dress pictured above and it really is the perfect fall wedding guest dress – and it’s only $79, plus you can get 15% off with code LAKESHORE! I got a size 4 and I especially love that they put pads in the bust so you don’t have to worry about finding a bra that works with the neckline.
If you aren’t ready for long sleeves yet, I also love this green number and this yellow moment (swooooon!). Does it give anyone else “How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days” vibes? Shop more fall dresses below:

Long Sleeve Dresses:
Alright, the majority of that least category had tank dresses, so let’s shift the focus back to long sleeves. There is a lot of variety in this category because you could get something with lightweight sleeves like the one I have, or you could opt for a velvet long sleeve dress for extra warmth. I’m personally a really big fan of versatile dresses like this one that you can pair with booties and a jean jacket (use code LAURENN20 for 20% off!) to brunch or dress it up with jewelry and heels for a wedding. It’s definitely a way to get the most bang for your buck!

Fancy/Black Tie Dresses:
So you got invited to a black tie wedding and you’re worried that you need to spend a ton of money on a dress? THINK AGAIN! Obviously if you want to splurge and get a fab gown like this, more power to you! But you can also snag the dress I’m wearing above on sale for $88, or a huge selection of gorgeous dresses from Lulu’s for under $100! I especially love this one, this one, and this one.

Under $200:
Looking for even more affordable options? While there are a bunch under $100, I’m loving a few of the options I found in the $150 range. How pretty is this one shoulder dress, this velvet dress, and this fun sequin dress?!

Reformation Try On
One of my best friend’s was getting married and I was just going to wear something from my closet… but then I swung into Reformation when I was in the Gold Coast anyway. I couldn’t resist and I ended up bringing a dress home with me. Woops! It was just too good! Here are a few others that I tried on:
PS. I’m 5’2″ and usually an XS in tops and size 26 in jeans. Hope that helps!
Creed Dress, Size 2
This is the one I bought! This print is available in regular sizing here or in petite sizing here. I tried a regular size on in store and it’s a little long on me, but the slit breaks it up so much that I don’t mind/need to shorten it. Such a fun dress for Fall and Winter weddings, holiday parties, date nights, galas – you name it!
UPDATE: This new style is VERY similar!! The sleeves are slightly different, but the neckline, length, slit, and back are all the same!
Susanna Dress, Size XS
This was another contender, but since I already have a wrap dress from Ref, I figured I should go with something different. I also really wish this one came in petite, because it would be nice if it was just a little bit shorter. Still gorgeous though!
Lucita Dress, Size 4
THIS DRESS IS SO CUTE. If I was in a more practical mood yesterday, this would have been my winner. It’s super versatile, I love the print, and when I went up a size, the fit was perfect. An awesome option for petite gals!
Mulberry Dress, Size Small
This one felt a little blah on me. Because there’s no slit, the extra fabric just hung on me. Great for taller ladies though. So sophisticated! (Comes in solid red, too!)
Moon Dress, Size 2 or 4
Don’t hate me, but I didn’t take a picture of the tag on this one so I forget what size I tried on! It was either a 2 or 4 and it’s a great classic cut. Like all their dresses, I love the way it nips your waist in. So flattering!
