Celebrating What You Have vs. What You Haven’t

I was asked to participate in the #HDMoment campaign, sponsored by Walgreens. Although I have been compensated, all opinions are my own.
If you follow me on social media (especially insta-stories), you might have seen that I’ve been very stressed the past few weeks. Juggling my day job and Lake Shore Lady and, ya know, LIFE has been hard recently. Back in January, I technically cut back to 30 hours at work… which is sometimes the truth and sometimes a big ole lie. ? Most recently, I’ve been working with a great team on my company’s very first User Conference in Chicago. It was a huge undertaking – 200 customers and 77 employees, with 2 full days of content and 3 evening events! This is when Fusion is very much a full time job… and Lake Shore Lady is also very much a full time job, so… I’m sure you can understand why I’ve been a little stressed!
BUT I am happy to report that Solutions 2017 (the conference) was a HUGE success and now I can breathe a little bit easier. “The Hustle” is great, and there is so much to be learned while you are busy and working hard, but it is tough. There’s a constant feeling of being behind, as if you can never catch up. So often I am only thinking about what is left on my to do list, instead of what I’ve already checked off.
So now that I’ve jumped this hurdle, it’s important to take a step back and focus on everything I have accomplished instead of everything I haven’t yet. We all need to do this, no matter what we’ve accomplished! I’ve found that once I take a deep breath and shift my perspective, I feel a lot better. And when in doubt, a sunshine-y Chicago afternoon with a Häagen-Dazs® Ice Cream Bar is the perfect way to celebrate your hard work!
Did someone say ice cream?! These Häagen-Dazs Vanilla Milk Chocolate Almond Bars are my absolute favorite ice cream treat. The outside is crunchy, the inside is the Häagen-Dazs ice cream we all love, AND it’s perfectly portioned! Seriously, the perfect (and most delicious) reward for all my hard work!
Side note: There will be a buy one, get one free deal at Walgreens from July 2nd-8th and July 23rd-29th!
Also, since we’re talking about “the hustle,” I’ll be honest with you guys. I am definitely not an expert in this area. I still need to figure a lot out before I actually feel good about my work/life balance. Two full time gigs is too much and it’s starting to wear on me. As much as LSL is taking off, taking the leap into full time is still a little scary. Especially since my projected income isn’t a guarantee, and I’d have to find my own insurance, etc. That being said, I’d love to have the extra time to dedicate to content for all of you! Bottom line: I don’t have all the answers yet! I’ll keep you posted…
Regardless, now that this big project has wrapped, I’m really excited to enjoy summer a little bit more! I plan on diving back into my workout routine, taking time away from my computer, and getting outside more! Preferably with an ice cream bar ?
How do you like to celebrate a big accomplishment? Do you have any secrets for a good work/life balance?
I could use all the advice I can get ?
P.S. Enter to win!

I think food is my reward for doing good work. I will allow myself to buy the pricier ingredients and indulge in a meal that may be more complex … cuz I’m worth it, ya feel? I’m still trying to figure out the work/life balance; I just started a new job that involves a lot more of my time after hours than I expected.
