Springtime Chambray
Romper: Yumi Kim | Bracelet: c/o Monica Vinader | Bag: c/o Vera Bradley (similar budget buy here!) | Shoes: ShoeMint (love these, too!)
Hair by: Jenna at Dennis Bartolemei Salon | Photos by: Julie Kennedy

In the midst of my busy craziness these past few months, I completely forgot about scheduling an appointment for a hair refresh. So when Jordan texted me the same day I was looking at my ends and cringing, I knew it was time. This time, I got to reap the benefits of Jenna‘s talent – girl is SO GOOD. She chopped off all my dead ends, lightened me back to “bronde” and styled it up gorgeously! I knew I couldn’t just GO HOME after that (right?!), so I scheduled a shoot with my photographer friend Julie Kennedy later that afternoon. Luckily, it was a sunshine-y day and this romper had just came in the mail. Yes. Yes. Yes. All of these things coming together is pretty much a bloggers dream come true 🙂
Julie is always super fun to shoot with, because we really play with my outfits and our surroundings. We shot another look in the Lincoln Park Conservatory (coming soon!), so we wanted something different for this one. We walked around, stopping at a few spots that could have worked… but when we happened upon this gorgeous tree and patch of flowers, we knew we struck gold.
Now more about this romper… I literally saw this on Shopbop and 5 seconds later it was in my cart! For those of you who don’t know me, this behavior is very unlike me. Usually I see something I like, I stalk it for a while, I wait for a promotion or markdown, and then I add it to my collection. Not this one! I actually snapchatted “This was made for me.” I was totally right. You’ll see me wearing this on patios all over Chicago with a drink in hand ALL. SUMMER. LONG.
I especially love the detail on the bodice – the boning keep it really structured, even though the chambray material is super casual. It’s the perfect mix of comfortable, polished, girly and care-free. Nice work, Yumi Kim!
How pretty are these flowers?! Hey Spring!
Seriously, is everyone as excited as I am about the gorgeous weekend we have in store?! I literally can’t WAIT!
Big thanks to Julie again for these photos!
