The Waterproof Rain Booties Every Chicago Gal Needs
Rain Booties: c/o Everlane (I’m normally a size 6.5, and the 7 fit great. Especially with thick socks in the winter!) | Shirt: Abercrombie (Limited sizes, but similar here and here!) | Rain Jacket: J.Crew (Wearing a Petite XS – love this jacket so much!) | Jeans: Everlane (I’m wearing my usual size 26! A great high rise – and comes in ankle length for petite gals.) | Bag: Under Armour (Old, but similar here.) | Umbrella: Amazon (I think?! The one I linked is similar at least ?)
Welp, it’s another snowy and wet day in Chicago! It’s funny – as much as we all complain about days like these, this city is full of people who just know how to deal with them. It is what it is, right?!
To be honest, I’d been on a hunt for rain booties or a while. I know, I know – do I really need rain booties when I already have tall rain boots and I just updated my snow boots? That’s fair, I probably don’t ? But with that said, being petite, tall rain boots get annoying REAL fast, because they come up so much higher on my legs than they do on taller gals. And snow boots are life savers for snow storms and really cold days – but what about wet days that are 45+ degrees? Have you guys ever felt this struggle before?!
Luckily, these new Everlane rain booties are the PERFECT in between shoe for slushy days when you still have to get around. I wore these around one day when it was super rainy and slushy in the morning, and when the sun came out later in the day, I didn’t care that I was still wearing them. They look so similar to regular booties – plus they’re crazy comfortable.
PS. Everlane sent these to me, but this post is NOT sponsored! I just felt like some of you might also be in the market for a bootie like this, too!
Also, I know it’s a little too chilly today, but as we start to enter into Spring, this rain jacket is THE BEST. I’m wearing the Petite XS, and the length is perfect on me. It also comes in SO MANY colors this year! Yellow and red and purple and light blue… they’re all so adorable!
Do you have rain booties?
If you do, which ones do you have?!
