Sunday Spotlights 23
How are you all doing? Honestly, I’ve been very overwhelmed this week… I was definitely overly ambitious with my content calendar for the rest of the year, and late approvals on sponsored content has made it all a little bit trickier ? But I just keep telling myself that I would have been SO THRILLED to have this much to do in April or May. And while it may feel like a lot right now, it is so temporary. Also, any overwhelm I am feeling is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING compared to the stress and exhaustion our health heroes are feeling right now. Deep breaths, perspective, and gratitude are always the answer.
Speaking of our health heroes, by now you’ve seen the Stay At Home Advisory that starts tomorrow in Chicago. I know it sucks, but the numbers here (and all over the country) are getting so scary right now. I don’t think this changes all that much for most of us, besides maybe holding off on a movie night with a friend or two. But if this does change your social life a lot, I urge you to comply so we can get this under control. Our health care workers need us to do our part ❤️

My friend Katrina makes the cutest handmade accessories, and I collaborated with her to make the mask, headband, and dog bandana pictured above! Have you gotten yours yet?!
This article in The Atlantic is a must read.
I really need to update my post about the best themed peloton rides, because the Beyonce classes are all AMAAAAZING! So far, I’ve taken the ride with Alex and Tunde, Robin’s 20 minute strength, and Ally’s 30 min ride – and I HIGHLY recommend all 3! Next up is yoga with Chelsea, bootcamp with Jess, and maybe I’ll even try the outdoor run with Robin when it’s nice out this week!
I’ve been really into this easy breakfast when I want to sneak some greens into my morning.
If you are a Sunday email subscriber, you’ll see it in your inbox today – but I’m so excited that this Chicago print made it to my bestsellers for 2 weeks in a row! The artist is a really sweet follower of mine and I love that it’s getting some attention from my post about the best gifts by Chicago artists, companies, and brands!
I feel like these velvet slippers were made for the 2020 holiday season – they’re festive but also not meant to leave the house… like all of us ?
This video by Melissa Urban from Whole30 is so empowering. YOU GO GIRL.
How cute is this $30 sweater? I’m such a sucker for puffy sleeves.
VERY excited about this new AppleTV show!
I needed a makeup refresh during the Sephora sale a few weeks ago, so I decided to order a bunch of Rare Beauty products – and I am SO impressed. I got the foundation and concealer in 230N and it is literally a perfect match with my skin. I also got the liquid blush in Bliss and I think it blends even better than Glossier’s Cloud Paint. And then to round it out, I got their brow pencil & gel (excellent) and the dewy lip balm in ‘Empathy’ – which gives your lips the perfect hint of color.
Love this instagram from Jenna Bush Hager. Such a class act.
Are any of you going to watch The Crown today?! Let’s go, season four!
