The Best of The Reformation Sale 2023 – In 4 Sections!
These markdowns only happen twice a year! Scroll through my top picks from the Reformation sale 2023 below!
Shop this dress here! I tried on a size 4 but I think I’m going to get a size 2 because the smocking is stretchy!
Hey friends! As you all know, I am a huge Reformation fan. Their clothes are not only very much my vibe, but they also fit me super well. On top of that, I feel like it’s the most sustainable and eco-friendly place for me to shop – both because of their sustainability efforts as a company, but also because their pieces are always a great investment for me. They’re super high quality and on trend enough while still being classic enough to rewear season after season.
That being said, I know that they aren’t the most affordable brand. Their selection can get a little pricey, which is why I always get SO excited about their sales!! I’ve treated myself here and there, but the majority of my own collection has been purchased during a Reformation sale like this!
There are a LOT of markdowns, so I’ve divided my top picks into 4 categories: wear now, transition to fall, wedding guest options, and for the brides. I hope this is helpful for you!
In addition to this post all about Reformation sizing, you can also see some of my favorite sale dresses that I own in action here!
How many sales does Reformation have?
If you’re wondering ‘when does Reformation have sales’ – the answer is only twice a year! That’s right, there are only Reformation sales around the end of summer and again around Cyber Week.
Sometimes the Cyber Week sale will extend into December and even into January. That being said, I haven’t figured out if that was just last year or if that happens every year.
Moral of the story: if you see a sale, take advantage of it because it doesn’t happen often!
Who can get early access to the Reformation sales?
Reformation recently launched a Friends With Benefits program. I am still unclear of who qualifies for this status, but you will see if you have it when you log in to your account. This allows you to get early access to sales, free expedited shipping, and a direct customer service line. As a Reformation FWB, I got access to the end of summer sale on August 10th!
Does Reformation run small?
Reformation sizing can be a bit tricky. Their website doesn’t have reviews either, which makes it even harder to guess what size to get. I am usually a 2 or 4 in dresses, I wear a size 27 in jeans and I am 5’2″. I used to pretty much always be a 2, but now there are some more exceptions.
I find that their linen styles usually run true to size. I rarely have to size down or size up from my usual size 2 in linen styles, unless they are very slim around the hips.
Some of their other fabrics have less stretch though, and that’s when I’ll size up to a 4, or more recently a 6 in really slim styles.
They also have a small section of petite sizing on their website which is really nice if you’re short like me. I’ve found that in addition to being shorter, their petite sizes are usually a little bit smaller too. For example, if I were a 2 in a regular dress or skirt, I’d typically size up to a 4 in petite sizing.
You can read more about the sizing of some of my favorite Reformation pieces in this post, and I’ll also put some insights below, too!
Reformation Sale Favorites
Reformation Sale Category 1: Wear Now
While it’s nice to plan ahead, sales are always more fun when you can wear your finds right away! I own this tank, this dress in a size 2, this skirt in a size 2, and this dress in a size small – all run true to size. I’ve also tried on this top and this mini dress which both run a little small.
I also have a lot of similar styles on sale (for example, I own the midi version or this mini that’s on sale!) and you can see all of them plus read my sizing insights in this post.

Reformation Sale Category #2: Fall Styles/Transition To Fall
If you’re all set on summer clothes, these are my favorite items to help you transition to fall and cooler temperatures. I got this dress for my You’ve Got Mail rom com reel and it’s so comfortable (TTS and stretchy) and great for layering!
I got this twist sweater and this sweater dress last year and wore them a TON. I sized down to an XS in both. I also got these trousers in 2 sizes. I tried a regular size 2 in store which fit, but needed to size up to a 4 in petite sizing. I also own them in petite 6 for a slouchier fit.
And before I let this section go, I tried on a few more sweaters (that are now in my cart) that you can get sizing insights for in this post!
Reformation Sale Category #3: Wedding Guest Options
I mean… we all know that Reformation is the GOAT of wedding guest dresses and there are SO MANY pretty ones on sale! I recently got this one (sized up to a 6) and it’s on sale in a few colors, including my lemon print! I also got this dress last year in pink which was perfect for a late summer wedding. I got a size 4 in that one.
Reformation Sale Category #4: For The Brides
Almost all of my bridal event dresses were from Reformation – and I still wear them now that I’m not a bride anymore too! I wore this one in an older print to my rehearsal dinner and it’s still one of my favorite dresses ever. I got a size 2!
