Cranberry Gin Fizz
Whenever I come up with any recipe, I always hope that some of you will actually make it and enjoy it… and this one has been a HIT! I’ve even gotten a few questions asking for the recipe again, so I thought I’d share it here on the blog as well since it’s way easier to search for content here vs. on instagram. Especially now that Christmas is right around the corner!
Before we dive in, I just want to touch briefly on the unique ingredient in this cocktail: raw egg white. It’s weird, I know! I had someone ask me if this is safe to drink, and the answer is a little tricky. Technically, there is a risk… but it’s very minimal. Current food safety regulations require most chickens to be vaccinated against salmonella. In addition, using really fresh clean eggs, and mixing it with alcohol and citrus is said to help. If you don’t feel comfortable using an egg white, you could also use aquafaba, which is the brine that chickpeas come in! I haven’t tested that out, but it’s supposed to froth up in the exact same way as egg whites – just without the risk. Plus, vegans can enjoy it, too!

We tested it out because we both prefer vodka to gin, and it was just as good. Cheers!
