The Best Dry Shampoo for Fine Hair
I found the best dry shampoo for fine hair – and it’s only $7!

Alright guys let’s talk about DRY SHAMPOO. To be honest, I’m one of those weirdos who is used to washing my hair nearly every day. The first time I even tried dry shampoo was last year! At 31 years old! Haha I think I was just convinced that it wouldn’t work on my thin hair and I’d just need to end up washing it the old-fashioned way anyway.
But sometimes the ONLY way to get a workout in is to rush from one thing to another. That’s just the truth, especially now that a bunch of my favorite workouts are a train ride away from my apartment. So, when I realized that I could squeeze it in AND still run errands or head to a coffee meeting without blow drying my hair, it was a total game changer. Especially when the secret weapon is only $7! OH YEAH!
My dry shampoo new routine
After some cardio and weights at the gym or a class at Studio Three, I’ll pull out my Pantene Waterless Collection that includes the Pantene Never Tell Dry Shampoo Spray and Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist. Sometimes I’ll take a quick body shower too – especially if I got really sweaty. But no matter what, once I’m ready to touch my hair, I start with the Never Tell Dry Shampoo Spray.
First of all, it smells INCREDIBLE. Think mint and citrus and freshness. Hannah kept commenting on how good we were making the locker room smell during this shoot. Second, it is a sulfate and paraben free formula, so you can feel good about spraying it on your hair as many days in a row as you want 😉 It doesn’t leave any powdery residue, and it doesn’t make my thin hair look greasy. BIG wins!
To apply, spray at your roots and massage it in with your fingertips. The formula will absorb dirt and oil, so your hair looks and feels clean without actually washing it. You can also use a blow dryer for a little extra volume, too!
After the dry shampoo, I also use the Pantene’s Mist Behaving Dry Conditioner Mist. A little bit of this goes a long way, so you want to hold the can 6-8 inches away from your hair (mid-length to ends) and don’t spray at the roots at all.
This step is really moisturizing and helps with flyaways or tangles. It’s made with Pro-Vitamin B5, Omega-9, aloe, and jojoba oil – and it’s also paraben and sulfate free!
Brush it out, apply some makeup, change into a cute dress, and you’re on your way, girl!
How long can you go without washing your hair?
Do you already try to stretch the time in between your washes, or are you like me and terrified of greasy hair? Either way, I highly recommend trying these Pantene Waterless Collection. I am so incredibly impressed with them – I can now go 2-3 days without washing my hair at a time… something I wouldn’t have even considered trying before these products. And at only $7 apiece, the price can’t be beaten!
Make sure you pick up the new Pantene Waterless Collection at Kroger stores!
